Easter Fun in Year One!

Here is a little look at all the fun we have been having leading up to Easter.

On Wednesday we made Easter Bunny Tails, these cute little Easter Bunny Tails are made from marshmallows, chocolate and coconut. It was a simple process, which led to some seriously delicious treats!

Below is the method we used:

Step 1. Place white chocolate and coconut into heatproof bowls. Melt the chocolate on high in the microwave for one minute and stir until it is smooth.
Step 2. Dip the marshmallow into the melted chocolate and tap off excess chocolate.
Step 3. Roll the marshmallow in the coconut.
Step 4. Place on a plate and refrigerate for 10 minutes before serving.

On Thursday morning we had a visitor from the Easter Bunny himself! He made a big mess of our class and nearly jeopardised our title of the Golden Broom. Luckily, he left us some delicious eggs to share and a lovely note expressing how hard we have been working.

Then on Thursday afternoon the moment we had all been waiting for- our Easter Egg Hunt!!! We got our baskets ready and went into the garden area behind Block 3. After we collected all the eggs we went back to class and discussed what we could do to divide them equally. We decided that first we had to find out how many eggs we collected. We estimated then counted. In total we had found... 110 eggs! A ridiculously good number considering there were 21 students and 1 teacher. After lots of dividing and sharing we found out that we could have 5 each and boy were we happy with that!

Have a safe, happy and fun Easter!
