To distinguish between the terms past and present, we were asked to bring in a toy from home. On Thursday we sorted out our toys into two groups past and present; we then talked about how some of our toys fall into both categories like our dolls and Darth Vader. We used a Venn Diagram to sort our toys and then compared the toys based on their features. Our toys from the present had many similarities such as: what they were made of, their special features (sound and light) and the need for batteries to make them work. We also talked about the toys differences and pondered what toys from the future may look like.
